One thing is for sure when going to estate sales, you never know what you will find. Today I found some "project" pieces. These items will be sanded, painted, recovered, and revamped!
They may not look like much now, but I have a couple ideas for improvements. Along with some other smaller items, I bought the sewing cabinet and stool, the mirror, and the glass top table from the Windsor Estate sale I mentioned in the earlier post. The prices were good on the first day of the sale and everyone working there today was so fun. Thanks especially to Ann, she was great!
I also made a trip to Class and Trash on Route 1 in Ashland, VA. Can't resist the place really and I still had a little room left in the car. I found this awesome mirror which I think will look great above the bed in the master. I love the curved trim and the burled wood. The price was amazing! Only $40! I also bought the chair from the first pic.
This midcentury dresser was also at Class and Trash. I am putting it on my wish list. Midcentury is my latest obsession. I love the lines, angles, and curves. Dressers aren't just for the bedroom anymore either. They convert easily to credenzas, entryway tables, or media cabinets. I would love this one for the space by the front door.
Tomorrow, shopping is not an option. I just sold a dresser from one of my spaces at Through The Garden Gate and I have an empty space to fill. Furniture project completion will be the order of the day! I will let you all know how it goes!
Hi! Found your cute blog via Richmond Thrifter. I can't wait to see what you do with the mirror and the other great finds :) I'm your newest follower!
ReplyDeleteI think your space is just 1 or 2 away from mine at the garden gate! Although I'm shutting mine down :(. Was getting to be too much with class and trash too. Can't wait to see the mirror in its new home!
